Materials and Procedures

As you can see in this photo, veneers are very very thin. We now use a few different types of porcelain whereas in years past only one type of porcelain was available. In the past the porcelain had to be thicker so it wouldn't break. NOW, the two types of porcelain are actually flexible, so they can be ultra thin. Before they are on the tooth they are extremely susceptible to crush even in the most gentle hands, but after the bond to the tooth they are actually STRONGER than tooth structure alone and rarely ever break.

Crowns - If teeth already have very large fillings and teeth cannot be stabilized in any other way. Another lay term for crowns is caps.

Whitening prior to Aesthetic work - Most whitening can be done very inexpensively with trays and supervised over the counter whitening strips.

Braces - If recommended in combination or for the adult patient two excellent choices exist:
     1. Tip-edge Orthodontics- Very gentle forces moving tooth roots to a permanently correct
         position.
     2. Invisalilgn Beaces-Primarily for ideal cases only (very easy to correct).

Products and Guarantees

The products we use are simply porcelain and resins that bond perfectly to tooth emamel, creating a better (stronger) bond than any of the three actual tooth structures to each other. That's a pretty stong bond! Sort of like the first superglue commercial where the guy in the hardhat is hanging from a steel beam.

Since our true goal for you is to create a functional mouth as well as beautiful form, we make sure the bite is correct and the mouth as a whole is healthy. That way we can guarantee satisfaction in both areas.
